Almost home …

Arriving in the ferry harbor at 23.30 after 1330 km today.  During the last 11 days we have been riding almost 9000 km through 8 different countries – an epic trip 🙂

Autobahn roadwork …

even less fun ….

German autobahn …

5 minute refuelling stop and then 200 km more – not much fun.

Johnny is still in Italy …

Picture was taken from Switzerland 🙂

Grand St. Bernard Pass…

2473 meters up.  6 degrees Celsius and wet roads, so there’s not much grip in the tyres.

French/Italian border …

At Col du Pt. St. Bernard. – 2188 meters.

It’s only June …

so there is still plenty of snow left.

Col de l’Iseran …

one of the highest mountain passes in Europe – 2770 meters.  We wer’e lucky to be there on a clear day, but a thunderstorm was closing in, so we had to move on.

First mountain pass above 2000 meters …

Col de la Croix de Fer – 2067 meters.

Into the clouds …

stunning sights everywhere.

Alpe d’Huez …

popular in some bicycle event, but guaranteed more fun to climb on a motorcycle 🙂

Village in the mountains …

climbing the wall of the gorge.

The Western pre-alps …

let the fun begin 🙂

Advanced flower pot …

with a front tire puncture !

Vacuum controlled Scottoiler …

partly out of control ….

No need to change a working system …

the drinks card and dinner tickets also remains the same 🙂

Haven’t been here in +20 years …

but back then you wer’e always greeted: “Welcome to Camping Moto – first drink is on the house – what can I get you?” And it’s still the same today !!!! 🙂

Camping Moto …

mandatory stop on the motorcycle holidays in the 80’ies 🙂

Crest castle …
